Leaky Cauldron Restaurant Review

I've been a Harry Potter fan since the very first book came out, so I had to take the opportunity to finally go experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in October and become a wizard for a day.  It did not disappoint! It truly immerses you into the wizarding world and brought to life all of the imagery from the books that enchant the mind and soul.

Diagon Alley was my first stop as it was included in the early access entry to the park. (Highly recommend this; more on that later though.) I decided to eat lunch at the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley. They offer both breakfast and lunch, so if you arrive early and want to fill your belly here is an image of the Breakfast offerings.

They ask for your beverage order first, so of course I ordered a ButterBeer, (when in Rome...or Diagon Alley) and then they ask for your food selection. For the mums and dads out there, the name is misleading, but ButterBeer is non-alcoholic. All of the fare was very British (Bangers and Mash, Shepard's Pie, etc.) After you order, you are given a number and escorted to a table.

The ButterBeer was delicious! I was nervous it was going to be hyped up in anticipation; however it was everything I hoped it would be and more!  The Scotch Eggs I ordered for lunch were also amazing and it was accompanied by an apple and beet salad which I enjoyed.

Very similar fare is offered across the way in Hogsmede at the Three Broomsticks; so if you decide not to do a park-hopper and only find yourself on the Hogsmede/Hogwarts side, you can still enjoy some delicious food and ButterBeer!
