I'm not sure if it is her innocent, care-free, positive attitude, or the fact that they call her Blondie, but I am a Rapunzel fan! Tangled was Disney Animation's come-back film, in my opinion, from a drought of high caliber family films. It is fun, relevant, timeless, and heart-warming.
When I heard they were offering a new character breakfast at Walt Disney World with Flynn and Rapunzel, I knew I had to try it! And it did not disappoint! Here are my thoughts on our experience at the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno.
Every table starts with a frying pan of assorted pastries. Yes, a frying pan. A nod to Rapunzel's "weapon" of choice in Tangled. One of the pastries is in the sun shape of her kingdom of Corona; which you'll see later on is a common theme throughout the breakfast.
I ordered the Golden Frittata, which was also served in a frying pan! It was delicious! Just the right amount of seasoning on the roasted potatoes and lots of flavor in the frittata. Also pictured is the Tower of Pancakes which had a blueberry compote served with it and dusted with the sun shaped powered sugar. Also amazing!
There was plenty of coffee to go around and the flow of service accompanied the rotation of character visits to our table well. A very royal procession of princes and princesses was announced as they introduced our honorary guests at breakfast which included Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. They all came by our table individually to sign autographs, take pictures and interact with guests. I couldn't resist posing with our (now empty) pastry frying pan! ("Frying pans...who knew right?")
The princesses ate up our little 9-month-old son! Lots of snuggles, kisses & peek-a-boo. Finn was smitten with Rapunzel (I like to think because it reminds him of mommy...but just wishful thinking!) :)
Trattoria al Forno is located on Disney's BoardWalk. It is easily accessible by bus or boat depending on where you're staying. And since it isn't located in one of the parks, you don't need tickets to dine here. We use this as our "bon voyage" prior to departing on the last day of our trip. It was a wonderful send off and I highly recommend it!
